DADS@LIFELINE 
Dads@Lifeline provides counselling and support, paralegal assistance and information, and social activities for separated dads and their children. The service is staffed by professionally qualified counsellors and experienced volunteers. Dads@Lifeline is funded by the Department for Community Development and charges a fee (based on a sliding scale) in order to maintain services.

DADS IN THE EARLY YEARS - MEERILINGA YOUNG CHILDREN’S SERVICES
A resource designed to provide training, resources, and information to services that work with fathers with children 0-8 years. Free “Working with Dads” training is conducted every 2-3 months to family services staff to assist services to become more ‘dad friendly’.

Dads in the Early Years also provide support, resources, and information to fathers of young children. Meerilinga provides playgroups for fathers and children in Woodvale (Mon 1-3pm) and Beechboro (Sat 1.30-3.30).

An online “Directory of Services” contains contact information and hyperlinks to hundreds of WA-based organisations offering services to fathers. Online information sheets provide useful information about raising children, e.g. list of dads and kids playgroups and dads’ learning/discussion sessions, play ideas, child development phases, common childhood illnesses, ideas for parents working away to keep their child connection strong, etc.

HEY DAD -WA
Hey Dad-WA operates through Ngala and offers support to fathers in the early lives of their children, from ante-natal to babies to toddlers.

Free program (1 per term) designed to engage men in group discussions about responsible fathering and reaffirming the importance of fathers in the lives of their children.

SIDS & KIDS WA
Geoff Paul is a psychologist with SIDS & Kids WA who provides counselling that is focussed on men’s grief and their needs in situations following the sudden and unexpected death of a child. Geoff has a wide experience in family and relationships counselling and in supporting the well-being of men in times of stress and emotional disturbance.

SIDS & Kids in Western Australia provides loss and grief support for anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child. That loss may have occurred at any time from conception to 12 years of age. The service is free and there is no time limit to the counselling service or to when a person first contacts SIDS & Kids after the death of the child.

The opportunities for men experiencing grief and reactions to the death of a child include counselling, support groups, sibling support sessions, country support volunteers and a library of relevant support/healing techniques literature.
