‘6’ DVD - Road SafetyThe City of Melville has won a road safety award for its hard-hitting portrayal of the consequences of drink-driving in its health resource DVD titled ‘6’.The DVD, which deals with a range of issues facing young men, won the Safe Road User Behaviour (Metro) category of the Local Government Road Safety Awards, which acknowledge achievements by local government in the area of road safety.This DVD follows the stories of six young men through six stories so young viewers really get to know the characters and relate to them. The last of the stories deals with drink-driving and shows how an innocent night out can end up in disaster.The ‘6’ DVD has been successfully launched in both Perth and Melbourne.
