MAN - Strategies

To achieve its function as a peak body for all organisations in Western Australia MAN will employ the following strategies:

Inter-Agency Co-operation
Foster a network of individuals, groups and organisations cooperating to raise community awareness and improve resources for men’s health.

Awareness and education
Raise community awareness of issues impacting on men and boys and encourage a positive, supportive attitude towards those seeking to live more balanced, rewarding lives.

Facilitate forums at which men’s issues can be openly discussed.

Information and referrals
Provide men and boys with ready access to a wide range of comprehensive information relevant to their needs, including services.

Policy and advocacy
Take a lead role in developing and promoting progressive policy and best practice relating to men’s holistic health and well-being.

Advocate on behalf of men and boys.

Services to professionals
Support and provide relevant resources for professionals and groups working with men and boys.

Organisational development
Ensure the continuation and growth of MAN, building up resources and skills.
