REIJER GROENVELD - SECRETARYReijer is an Occupational Therapist currently working in the field of Health, Safety and Wellbeing and Injury Management. He has been involved in human services as a consultant and manager within a number of organisations including the banking and insurance industry, police department and Department of Health for over 20 years. He is currently the chairman of the WA Men's Gathering for the past three years and actively involved in rites of passage for men and boys as a senior leader in the Pathways into Manhood program.

CATE HARMAN - BOARD MEMBERCate is currently WA State Manager with Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia. She has been in this position for almost two years and been with PCFA for seven years. Cates background is in health sciences, with an honours degree majoring in Pharmacology. Cate worked in clinical research in Victoria for several years and then after moving to Perth set up a health clinic focusing on stress relief for the physical and psychological stresses of today’s demanding lifestyles. Cate lives in Nedlands with her husband and four teenage sons. Her sons are a particular source of joy and pride after having raised them largely on her own in their younger years after her first marriage ended. “I believe that healthy relationships are key to boys growing up to be good fathers and good husbands, and this being crucial to them leading healthy successful lives”. Cate has developed a strong interest and passion in men’s health in general and being a part of the movement to change the way men think about their health, and the value they attribute to taking care of themselves. “I see the disparity between the emphasis on men’s health and women’s health and I have a strong desire to contribute to balancing the scales”.
